Mai 2018.It's not even a debate.....put your headphones on and compare tracks.....Voodoo Soup is muddy...underwater...there is so much more clarity in First Rays.....that being said....there are 3 tracks on here that make this worth having...Stepping Stone and Roomful of Mirrors seem to be mixed a little differently with the added drum tracks ...on the opening vocal to Stepping Stone there is a low note riff that is brought up in the mix that isn't on First Rays.....I give Alan Douglas credit for the 3 instrumentals....they are among my all time favorite tracks....Midnight is longer than the version on War Heroes....also there is a second guitar....unfortunately because it's Alan Douglas we can't be sure if it's Hendrix....it could be the session guitarists used on the blasphemous Crash Landing/Midnight Lightning sessions....or it could be one of the Knack guitarists...haha....the rest of this effort is quite pointless....Pali -Gap....a Hendrix classic....is severely edited....the excellent intro is lopped off....Peace in Mississippi....which appeared on Crash Landing with all backing tracks replaced....is also severely edited....the full version can be heard on the Hendrix box set....listen to that....First Rays and South Saturn Delta.....I give Alan Douglas credit for Stages and Blues....even though they were way overdue....but this....3 tracks only.....3 Personen fanden diese Informationen hilfreich,Rezension aus den Vereinigten Staaten vom 15.
