It’s truly the best way to see how vast and varied this country is for yourself.The total Adelaide to Uluru distance is 1,600 kilometers, or 994 miles, if you stay on the direct route via National Highway A87. It worked well except for going uphill as I mentioned in the post! We stayed for two nights as we were keen to explore Coober Pedy, and it was so enjoyable, we stayed for another two nights on the return trip!It is just about in the middle of the whole road trip and being the largest town along the way with several accommodation options to choose from, it’s a sensible place to stop if you have limited time to drive to Uluru.
